Gillingham defender Joe Martin has signed a new two-year contract.
The 22-year-old left-back is the son of former West Ham defender Alvin Martin and has made 17 appearances since joining the Gills in December, scoring one goal.
The news comes as a boost to boss Andy Hessenthaler on the day striker Adebayo Akinfenwa turned down a new contract and rejoined his old club Northampton.
Andy Barcham and Chris Palmer are also expected to move on while the club are still awaiting a decision from midfielder Kevin Maher.
